Security of Critical Infrastructure

Roundtable events at Vocus

About this forum

The federal government introduced reforms to broaden the application of the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act, from 4 to 11 sectors of critical infrastructure. It also gives the broader powers to the government, including the ability to intervene and direct organisations when responding to a cyber security incident.
This forum will provide executives with the opportunity to openly discuss the impact of the reforms and address immediate issues such as third-party (partner/supplier) access and risk assessment, data protection, cyber hygiene and incident response.

Key topics

  • Developing capabilities needed to respond to protect critical infrastructure
  • Analysing opportunities & concerns with proposed legislation
  • Determining systems of national significance & critical infrastructure
  • Discussing impacts of proposed legislation on breach response
  • Seeking regulatory clarity around key terms, legal responsibility & liability
