The People Who Built Australia: telco and technology infrastructure

Vocus recently took part in a Sky News program looking at the development of telecommunications and technology infrastructure in Australia.

Titled The People Who Built Australia, the six-part series showcased innovation, leadership and success stories across key industries that have played a big role in developing Australia’s economy and communities, and are helping to shape the future.

Featuring Vocus’ Chairman Bob Mansfield AO, and Chief Executive, Enterprise and Government, Andrew Wildblood, the episode looked at the early development and importance of the telco industry, the role of government, private enterprise and competition, how fibre connectivity is transforming industries, and how Vocus is investing in growth opportunities for Australia’s future.

As Bob Mansfield said, the role of fibre infrastructure and the connectivity it provides is constantly evolving. “When you make advances in communications, everything follows suit.”
