The ASC is a new submarine cable system linking Australia to Singapore, which started construction in 2017, and went live in September 2018.

The four-pair fibre network will deliver a minimum of 40Tbps of capacity and will offer significant capacity and performance improvements from Sydney to Singapore compared to existing routes. The cable was successfully completed by Vocus Communications and was made ready for service on 14 September 2018.
