Nextgen Networks is now part of Vocus Communications
We’re thrilled to announce that Nextgen is now part of the Vocus Communications.
Following the announcement our CEO, Geoff Horth said, “We are excited to announce this latest step in our growth and journey towards being Australia’s most loved and most forward thinking telco.
The Nextgen network is one of Australia’s largest national fibre backhaul networks and greatly enhances Vocus’ existing infrastructure and offers our customers significant additional network reach and national connectivity.”
The Vocus network now covers more than 21,000km, connecting capital cities across Australia and to regional areas and connects into more than 5,000 on-net buildings and 19 data centres.
“We can now connect our metropolitan infrastructure to Nextgen Networks’ inter-capital fibre optic network, thereby connecting mainland capital cities to each other and to regional and remote areas on one owned network”
In addition, the acquisition of the North West Cable System (NWCS) development provides significant near-term upside to expand Vocus’ owned network offering. These acquisitions continue to strengthen our position as the 4th pillar in Australian telecommunications.” said Geoff Horth.
We look forward to welcoming the Nextgen team into Vocus Communications as we move into this next exciting phase of growth.
Stay tuned for more details and updates.
