Chief People Officer
Vanessa Morley joined Vocus following a highly successful eight-year tenure as Chief People Officer at Nine. Joining in May 2018, Vanessa anchored the business's people and culture strategy through a period of relentless commercial evolution, including high-stakes mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and major corporate relocations.
During her time at Nine, she proved her steady leadership in the boardroom by successfully navigating three CEO transitions, five CFO changes, and multiple board and chair successions—all while maintaining an unwavering focus on building a high-performing culture and untapping the limitless potential of the organisation's talent.
Vanessa is highly regarded for her ability to translate complex business objectives into aligned action. Her extensive experience across multiple fast-paced industries puts her in a unique position to drive innovative corporate strategy. Immediately prior to her role at Nine, she was the Group Head of Talent for Coca-Cola Amatil, where she was responsible for driving capability, leadership, and diversity strategies across Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Her deep commercial background also includes senior leadership roles with iconic brands such as Qantas, Samsung, and Insurance Australia Group (IAG).
Vanessa holds a Master of Labour Law and Relations from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle.
On a personal note, Vanessa is a proud mum of three boys, a breast cancer arse kicker, an avid Bruce Springsteen lover, and a novice knitter.
