Vocus Group has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to help it bring the best of high-speed connectivity, cloud services and digital growth opportunities to Australian businesses and government organisations.

The partnership establishes Vocus as a key sales channel to supply Google Cloud’s public cloud services to enterprise and government customers. It includes Vocus channel partners, who will be enabled to sell and deliver services for Google Cloud, focusing on Cloud Infrastructure and Data Analytics.

The partnership also establishes Vocus as a Google Cloud Interconnect partner, as well as a user of Google Cloud technologies for a range of its own business transformation and digitisation purposes. These include helping improve internal collaboration, taking a more flexible approach to application development and exploring ways to use data analytics for better decision making.

Vocus Chief Executive, Enterprise & Government, Andrew Wildblood, said as challengers to entrenched information and communications technology providers, Vocus and Google Cloud were a great fit as alliance partners.
