To ensure optimal performance and value-for-money, LandCorp selected a Vocus Unified Communications solution to take their legacy communications to the next level.

What was the Challenge?

LandCorp used an older stand-alone Siemens PABX that was located in the head office in Perth CBD. The PABX system was unmanaged and maintenance had become increasingly problematic and costly. With the growth of LandCorp and the expansion into two new office locations, it became clear they needed a solution with more functionality that could continue to grow with them and seamlessly join all offices. 

Most importantly, LandCorp required a flexible cost model without a heavy upfront cost commitment. They also needed a host of new features to help everyone in the organisation communicate more efficiently.

Vocus' Unified Communications offered a cost-effective way for Landcorp to deliver their communications requirements, including;

  • An integrated IP Telephony system with state-of-the-art handsets across all offices
  • Centralised receptionist functionality
  • Ability to divert and manage calls from a single location across multiple offices
  • Central management through a simple online user interface

LandCorp staff often work across different offices with many having two desks and two landline numbers. With the introduction of the Vocus Unified Communications system, all numbers within the organisation could now be directed, forwarded or setup to dual ring at any location within the business.

The Changeover

The most concerning time for LandCorp was porting their number range from their legacy system. Vocus provided LandCorp with a 10-strong project management team to ensure the switch was made quickly and efficiently and ensured a smooth transition.
