Vocus Announces New Product PacificIX
Today ASX listed Vocus Communications Limited (ASX: VOC), will announce details of PacificIX, the first new product from the recently listed wholesale telecommunications company. The peering service connecting Sydney and Auckland will be officially announced at the AusNOG 04 conference.
PacificIX will be a multilateral Internet Peering Exchange allowing participants to connect and exchange traffic between Sydney and Auckland and Vocus believes the peering service will significantly improve speed and connectivity by delivering a much faster direct path between the two countries ISPs, Telcos and Hosting companies.
